Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project is a state agency overseen by the State Reclamation and Mosquito Control Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Project Updates:

  • Aerial Spraying: Larvicide spraying will begin April 1st and continue through May. Only swamps that produce mosquitoes are treated, no residential areas. A biological larvicide is used to control mosquitoes before they become flying adults. Notifications are sent to: FAA, State and Local Police, local BOH, and Plymouth Airport.

  • Water Checks: Crews are currently out surveying areas of standing water for mosquito larvae. If you have standing water on your property and would like them checked for larvae please call, fax or mail your request to the office.

  • Spray Requests: We will begin taking spray requests on May 28th.

  • Free Tire Recycling: Tire collections have stopped for the season. Collections will start again in the fall.
